How fast will I see citation rate improve?+
LLM training cutoffs and re-indexing cycles mean meaningful citation lift typically shows up in months 2-4. Some platforms (Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) update faster because they fetch fresh content; ChatGPT and Claude lag because they update training data less often. We measure weekly to show the trend and set expectations honestly.
Is this different from SEO?+
Yes. SEO is about ranking your URL in a list of blue links. AEO is about getting your name and content mentioned inside the model's answer, even when the user never clicks through. They share infrastructure (schema, semantic structure, entity coverage) but the optimization surface is different.
Which LLMs do you measure?+
Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. We use direct subscription CLIs for the four LLMs and the Apify Google SERP actor for AI Overviews. All probing runs through your dedicated workflow weekly.
What's llms.txt and do I need one?+
It's a standard like robots.txt but for AI crawlers: a structured file at /llms.txt that tells AI models what content matters and how to interpret your site. We draft both llms.txt and the longer llms-full.txt for every client at onboarding.
