How onboarding works

You bring access. We do discovery together.

Onboarding is structured discovery, not a configuration questionnaire. You don't need to walk in with a brand voice doc or an ICP doc. You show up with access; we run guided sessions that produce sharper artifacts than you'd write solo.

What you provide

  • DNS access for SPF / DKIM / DMARC records on your sending domain.
  • Postmark account ownership decision (your billing or sub-account under ours).
  • Sending-from identity (display name, From address, reply-to).
  • Recipient list source (CSV, Supabase import, or CRM sync).
  • Unsubscribe-list source-of-truth.

What we co-create at onboarding

  • Brand voice spec applied to email-specific norms (subject-line tone, intro length, sign-off conventions).
  • Segmentation strategy based on your funnel and lifecycle.

Step 1

Setup

We provision Postmark, set up DKIM and SPF records on your sending domain, configure DMARC, and verify inbox placement against major ISPs. One-time work, ~3 hours of setup.

Step 2

Draft

Campaign drafts come from the email_campaigns agent: subject, body text and HTML, audience segment, and kind (broadcast, sequence, or one-off). The same voice and adversarial gates as Content run before the draft hits your queue.

Step 3

Approve

Your team reads, edits, and approves before any send. Audience segments are materialized into a concrete recipient list before final approval, so you know exactly who's getting the message.

Step 4

Send and measure

Send fires through Postmark on approval. Open, click, bounce, and unsubscribe events stream back as engagement signals. The analytics agent rolls performance up by segment in your Friday synthesis.

What's included at the base

Not in the $500 base. Email Marketing is a $300/mo add-on because the deliverability infrastructure is real ongoing work we won't bundle into the promo price.

Why is Email a paid add-on and not in the base?+

Postmark setup plus ongoing deliverability monitoring is ~3 hours of human work per month. If we bundled it into the $500 base we'd be giving away margin, and we'd be implicitly promising deliverability for clients who don't actually send email. Pricing it separately keeps the offer honest.

Will my emails actually land in the inbox?+

Yes, assuming your domain isn't on a blacklist and your list is healthy. We set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC at onboarding, monitor bounce and complaint rates weekly, and pace volume to avoid reputation damage. If your domain is in trouble already, that's the first thing we fix.

Can I use my existing email platform (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.)?+

Yes. Composio exposes write actions for most major platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo, SendGrid, ActiveCampaign, MailerLite). Wiring takes ~1-2 days per platform. The default is Postmark because it's the cleanest deliverability path for B2B.

Do you write the subject lines?+

Yes. Every draft includes A/B subject-line variants when ab_test=true is set. The system optimizes against your historical open-rate data once you have ~5 sends of history.

What about cold outreach email?+

Cold outreach is the Outreach and Lead Gen service. The two services share Postmark plumbing but operate from different sending identities, with different deliverability discipline. Cold outreach typically migrates to Gmail or Outlook via Composio for better reputation; that work is on the roadmap.
